<p>There are many places that offer marketing, but most often the individual walks away with confusion on how to make things actually work. With Butterfly Marketing you are supposed to enter a training program that ensures you will have the marketing knowledge you need to improve the income you are trying to make with your home business.</p>
<p>Basically it works like a lot of the other marketing training programs in that with Butterfly Marketing you take their course, are provided with their marketing strategy for online businesses and then you use those tools. They believe it is up to you to implement the tools in the exact manner they taught you for success. In other words if you are looking at the strategy and believe that some portion of it will not work for your business you may not see the success results they promise.</p>
<p>Butterfly Marketing is supposed to offer you an internet marketing course for a fee. The fee will give you course materials for any type of business as long as you are in sales or services. If you are selling a product online such as an e book you can take the marketing tools Butterfly Marketing Provides and market the website for more visitors to come to your site and purchase your e book. The same can be said for any service or product you are going to sell.</p>
<p>The Butterfly Marketing tools are there to help you find the visitors and turn them into customers. They are going to teach methods on how to get return customers by providing a look at newsletters and other marketing tools that help to procure customers over visitors. They are going to give you ideas on how to structure the actual website as well as how to best promote it. Keep in mind that the Butterfly Marketing course will cost you and it is going to be a level type program.</p>
<p>You will be able to get basic tools to start, and then return for further training as they design new marketing techniques at Butterfly Marketing. The idea is to keep you up to date with new marketing tools and ways to earn income. You want your business to be successful and having a marketing strategy that is successful is the way to do this. <p>Back in 2006 Mike Filsaime launched the original Butterfly Marketing Course. It was a huge hit and many saying it was a game changer. <p>Sure the smart Internet Marketers were already doing this but a vast majority of marketers didn&#8217;t even know anything about Viral Marketing back then. This was all done through special software that did all these things for you. I can attest to the fact that a lot of people earned a lot of money by using this software, and still do to this day.</p>
<p>The concept of Butterfly Marketing 2.0 comes from the theory that when a Butterfly Flaps its wings, it causes a tiny change in the state of the atmosphere. So over time what the atmosphere could have done it won&#8217;t do now because of little changes caused in the atmosphere by all the daily activity that goes on inside of it. So indirectly for example, a small butterfly could prevent a tidal wave. How this applies to Internet Marketing is that small changes you make in your business today could have drastic future effects on your business.</p>
<p>A good example of Viral Marketing was Hotmail. They ended up acquiring hundreds of millions of users without spending a penny for advertising. Microsoft eventually bought them out. All Hotmail did was give away free email accounts. This was big back when the Internet first started. People loved the idea of sending web based email free. Another great example of Viral Marketing was Mark Joyner&#8217;s release of Search Engine Tactics back in 1997.</p>
<p>It had millions of downloads over the course of it&#8217;s life. And then Yanik Silver&#8217;s Autoresponder Magic. I remember reading once where Yanik wished he would have tracked that ebook before it started proliferating all over the place. I also once released an ebook called Gary Shawkey&#8217;s Secrets, and it&#8217;s still on thousands of websites to this day.</p>
<p>The power of Viral Marketing is what made Mike Filsaime rich and started his career. And Butterfly Marketing 2.0 will end up incorporating a lot of these Viral Marketing Tactics as well. What makes Butterfly Marketing 2.0 different from the original version is that it will include a lot of upgrades for Twitter and Social Media. I read Mike Filsaime&#8217;s Twitter posts all the time and notice he is a big fan of Social Media. When you use this product it will be via a Software Interface with printed material you can also study.</p>
<p>Mike Filsaime is an expert at conversions, meaning from the time someone visits your website to the time they actually order the product, he&#8217;s very familiar with how things should be from start to finish. He&#8217;s also an expert at teaching others how to do the same with his course material. We heard he&#8217;s giving 5,000 free copies of Butterfly Marketing 2.0 away but we&#8217;re not sure how long that will last. It cost Mike Filsaime $75,000 out of his pocket to prepare these 5,000 packages for release, and you&#8217;ll be able to get this free until they are gone. Knowing him they&#8217;ll be gone quickly.</p>

<p>Today I just wanted to quickly comment about Butterfly Marketing 2.0.  A scam?  This is Mike Filsaime&#8217;s &#8220;relaunch&#8221; of his popular selling product that he released about two years ago.  It originally sold for, and has until now, $1997.  Many people, included many of the &#8220;gurus&#8221; have purchased this product for the two grand.  Mike, recently put this entire product on disc and paper and offered it for for $29.95, &#8220;the cost of shipping&#8221;.  The only criteria being that you had to try his newsletter for a month.  If you don&#8217;t cancel his newsletter before 30 days passes, you will be billed $39.95 per month recurring for it.</p>
<p>Now on the surface this looks to be pretty straight forward, but I have a couple of problems with the ethics behind what he did.  First of all, I have personally had a VERY difficult time in the past trying to cancel another product of his, before it went to recurring payments (also for his newsletter).</p>
<p>I did order Butterfly Marketing this time and while he does a better job of spelling out how to cancel, I find it funny and frustrating that on the cancelme.com page my subscription doesn&#8217;t show up after entering my info, even though it shows my name and knows I have an account.  It just won&#8217;t show my subscription, thus allowing me to cancel.  So, I&#8217;m going to have to find a toll number to call to cancel in the next week or so.  This may not seem like a big thing but it&#8217;s part of the profile that he has created by making it difficult for people to cancel his products, thus ensuring a few more payments are made to him, which he of course won&#8217;t refund, because you read the disclosure.</p>
<p>So, back to Butterfly Marketing 2.0&#8230;.. I have just recently received it and although I did not order the original version, I have found that I have an identical digital version on my computer.  From where, I do not know.  I compared what I have to what I received in the mail and they are identical, except Mike has updated his picture that goes above his signature.  I have read through about a quarter of the 124 pages and can verify that it is the same as what I already had.  In addition to this, I received 10 discs.  They are mostly interviews that Mike has done with people pertaining to the &#8216;Butterfly Effect&#8217; of this type of marketing.</p>
<p>So I won&#8217;t pretend to give you anymore of a review of the product other than to reiterate that it seems to just be an identical relaunch of his previous product, but used in a way to get people to sign up for his $40 per month newsletter.</p>
<p>As to my other issue with the ethics behind this. I have seen and heard Mike praise and moan and pat himself on the back for the &#8220;gamble&#8221; that he is taking by &#8220;giving away&#8221; this information.  He had video of himself just talking about what a sacrifice he is making and that he is spending $17 per package for a total of 10,000 packages.  Then he talks about the almost $200,000 of his own money that he is willing to sacrifice for this and all that he asks for is us to pay the $29.95 cost of shipping.</p>
<p>C&#8217;mon!  Does he seriously think that everyone will believe this sob story?  The facts are that he may very well have spent $17 per product to get ready and package.  That, I believe includes the cost of putting them into the flat rate USPS box that they get shipped in.  This flat rate box doesn&#8217;t cost anymore than $12.95 to ship, if that much.  So there is already a profit of, 29.95-12.95=hmmmm, that&#8217;s funny, it equals $17 which is his stated cost to produce it and get it ready for shipping!!</p>
<p>So, this whole sob story really is a break-even story at worst, not a loss for him.  In the end he WILL get more subscribers for his newsletter and he WILL get some people to pay him that had wanted to cancel but forgot or couldn&#8217;t figure out how.  This is a profit center for him and a way to create future payments, build his list and create continuity programs.</p>
<p>Now, I think really it&#8217;s a good plan by him for his business, but I don&#8217;t like, as mentioned, some of his tactics used in implementing it.  Making it hard to cancel, bemoaning his potential financial losses and completely misrepresenting his shipping costs are ethical issues that I do not condone.</p>
<p>I have reason to believe that Butterfly Marketing is a fine product, but I hope people weren&#8217;t convinced to order it because of the above issues.</p>

<p>New York native Mike Filsaime began in the automotive industry 14 years ago as a car salesman. <p>This idea was also taken up in a movie called &#8220;The Butterfly Effect&#8221;, <br />starring Aston Kutcher, about a young man who managed to travel to <br />his past and, by altering earlier events, changed outcomes in his <br />future, including some that were unforeseen.</p>
<p>The butterfly effect has its roots in chaos theory, where a small <br />event can have a ripple effect and bring about possible dramatic <br />changes &#8211; the fluttering of a butterfly&#8217;s wings possibly forestalling <br />a monsoon that would have devestated an island.</p>
<p>Successful internet marketing is the result of many such &#8220;trivial&#8221; <br />events at work.</p>
<p>But which ones will prove to be significant and how do we sustain, <br />and even build, the momentum which is generated?</p>
<p>One proven technique is known a viral marketing, which adopts a strategy <br />that encourages many people to pass on a marketing message to others. <br />It makes use of multiplication to &#8220;explode&#8221; the distribution of the <br />message by willing participants.</p>
<p>Hotmail used this method to get established. When the two founders set up <br />their free email system, all the messages that were sent by subscribers <br />had a text message at the bottom which identified Hotmail as the origin. <br />People would send emails to their friends, who would be tempted to <br />set up hotmail accounts and send emails to their friends&#8230;</p>
<p>Within 24 months, Hotmail had 22 million subscribers, eventually selling <br />out to Microsoft for about $400 million.</p>
<p>The viral marketing method is:</p>
<p>a. Cheap. Most approaches take just a little time to set up and then others promote your business for you.</p>
<p>b. It has the potential to reach a large audience by geometrical progression, limited only by the enthusiasm of the participants.</p>
<p>c. It can be effectively combined with other forms of promotion.</p>
<p>d. It&#8217;s also possible to sell other products than the one you <br />originally targeted. For instance, if you are selling garden <br />products, those interested in flowers could also be interested in a catalogue that contains material on lawns, trees, landscaping, garden tools, etc.</p>
<p>e. A viral product is fairly easy to create. It includes ebooks, <br />articles, branded software, audio and videos, free reports, or even the first three chapters of your ebook.</p>
<p>f. A quality product that users are willing to pass on to others is accompanied by an implied recommendation. They are effectively building your reputation.</p>
<p>Special Considerations:</p>
<p>1. Whatever the product is that you use, it should be of significant value and free &#8211; or of very low cost in relation to its perceived value. But usually it is free and easy to pass on.</p>
<p>2. Make it easy for people to pass on by using buttons, active links, tell-a-friend windows, etc. Many products also combine very well with an affiliate program when the affiliate receives some extra benefit from promoting the viral message. For instance, by being able to brand an ebook the affiliate gains credit when a reader buys through a branded link.</p>
<p>3. Buttons and links are not interchangeable. Many email facilities do not handle HTML well, especially those that are web-based. Codes can be easily corrupted. Use active links in emails and save buttons for web pages.</p>
<p>4. Be sure your message includes a clear call to action. There should be no doubt about what you intend recipients to do.</p>
<p>5. The INCENTIVE should be clear to those you want to act.</p>
<p>6. Offer clear instructions so that recipients know HOW to act.</p>
<p>7. The action you require should be simple and obvious. Don&#8217;t complicate it or confuse the reader, such as by adding numerous links.</p>
<p>Viral Marketing is but one of many techniques that together have a <br />cumulative effect in attracting customers and subscribers to your <br />business &#8211; in attracting targeted visitors to your website. Momentum <br />is gained by aiming every element of the overall strategy at developing <br />the relationship with your visitors. The momentum builds as it succeeds <br />in identifying YOU as one of the white hats &#8211; someone who can be <br />trusted to provide value and a solution.</p>
<p>Design your strategy in such a way that there is a positive flow-on <br />effect into the future rather than one which diminishes after the <br />initial zeal and enthusiasm which launched your product.</p>
<p>Focus on delivering benefits to your visitors and making it easy <br />for them to collect. And don&#8217;t step on the butterflies.</p>

<p>It is a lesson in copy writing itself. It started when an unknown copywriter named John E. Kennedy sent a note to A.L. Thomas of the Lord &#038; Thomas Advertising agency. His note read: “ I am in the saloon downstairs. I can tell you what advertising is. I know you don’t know. It would mean much to me to have you know that it is and it will mean much to you. If you wish to know what advertising is, send the word “yes” down by the bell boy.” Signed, John E. Kennedy.</p>
<p>That note would have ended up in the trash if Albert Lasker had not been in the office. Unknown to Kennedy, Lasker had been searching for the answer to that question for 7 years.</p>
<p>Lasker was the rising star at Lord &#038; Thomas, The third largest ad agency in the world. It was 1904 when at the age of 24, he was made a partner and was paid $52,000. Yet, he did not know what advertising was. Nor could he find someone else who knew.</p>
<p>Lasker was quickly to sent for Kennedy, starving for the answer. In that meeting history was changed for advertising, Three words were spoken “Salesmanship In Print,” The concept was so basic and so effective that no one has since been able to improve upon it.</p>
<p>After being exposed to this powerful concept, Lasker commissioned the brilliant Kennedy to write down the set of principles into a series of lessons which were then used to train Lasker and the Lord &#038; Thomas copywriters.</p>
<p>Lord &#038; Thomas soon became the training center for the advertising world. Lord &#038; Thomas, under Lasker’s direction and by using Salesmanship-In-Print became the most admired agency in the world.</p>
<p>The reason I told that story was to give you an ideal of how powerful three simple words can affect the out come of your writing copy. The most simple wording can give you the most sales, so keep in mind that it doesn’t have to be an elaborate sales copy to make you money being simple and to the point is key. Its giving your audience what they want and delivering it with simple copy.</p>

On one review of this business marketing website, the person says that &#8220;this is all old recycled products that I believe have failed in the past.&#8221; I have also perused many other blogs / and forums that earmark it to be a SCAM. With all the business marketing material/ ebooks on the internet, one would wonder what to buy. I think even $100.00 is too much to spend .</p>
<p>When looking for a home-based affiliate marketing program, what we want is a program that:lets you do it in your spare time that is user friendly has a proven system in place has great customer support and coaching staff is inexpensive (under $100.00) provides forums and other free services to help you along in your journey of internet marketing does not offer a &#8220;pie in the sky&#8221; so to speak In summary, in order to make any kind of money with any and all kinds of marketing ie( MLM, networking, or internet) you must be willing to be coachable and teachable. Just because you didn&#8217;t get that first person in your down line or make your first sale doesn&#8217;t mean that you should give up.
